Testimony story by Extremehealthconsultllc was in 2016, I got a pain in my knee and it was unbearable. I scheduled a doctors appointment with Dr. Pappas(UPMC)who diagnosed me with needing surgery due to being bone to bone because cartilage was deteriorating due to having major impact over time causing stress to the knee. After a few days out of surgery, I started to ride my indoor cycling bike to regain and build strength while attending physical therapy at Westarm Therapy which was excellence as well. By riding my indoor cycling bike, it expedited the process and my healing time was cut in half because I was determined to recover. Dr Pappas also stated to me that healing time would help if I could lose some weight as well and so I did. Since that has occurred, I have not had a problem with my knee and it is going on 18 months. I was amazed with the results and said from this point moving forward, I will incorporate indoor cycling as a lifestyle change to improve my overall health and wellness. I want to help others as I have helped myself so I decided to open up a cycling studio and tell people the benefits of success that it can have on their lifestyle change as well. In 2018, we opened up a cycling studio at Pittsburgh Mills Mall to help all people with weight reduction and rehabilitation. People recovering from orthopedic injuries often participate in indoor cycling as part of the rehabilitation protocol. If cycling is done correctly, there is minimal impact on the hip, knee, and ankle joints. A person, whether recovering from injury or not, avoids the pounding associated with other activities such as running. This is a win win situation that will help improve your overall health and fitness for sure. If you can make a difference in someone's life, that is a major accomplishment and that is exactly what I am trying to do for everyone that comes through the doors at our facility.
